Ghodrat is a shy and placid village boy but a combination of his father’s brutal violence and his pregnant mother’s untimely death, turn him into a defiant, angry and vengeful adolescent. After losing the only person who sheltered him from his father’s uncontrollable cruelty and violence, Ghodrat finds solace in a dog he calls Gorgoo and a girl named Faali. Ghodrat blames his father for his mother’s death and fosters a grudge against his stepmother. Meanwhile, his stepmother’s brother, Morad is the only person who shows interest in the boy hungering for affection. But Morad’s interest is not out of honest friendship and he sexually abuses Ghodrat. Morad is so infatuated with the idea of hurting Ghodrat that he brutally murders the boy’s dog and marries Faali, the girl he loves. These events deliver the final blows to young Ghodrat’s damaged soul. The defiant adolescent migrates to the city and soon falls victim to drugs. Ghodrat’s friendship with a woman drags him into one of the most horrendous periods of his life. Deprived of motherly love, Ghodrat seeks comfort in other women but he is even cast away from them and decides to take revenge, a decision that triggers a tragic fate.
